Instrument Care

-Try to keep your mandolin in either a humidified room or inside the hardshell case and humidifier provided with your Johansson Mandolin.

-Proper humidity is between 30%-50% at room temperature.

-Ebony fingerboards should be oiled every 3-5 years with Boiled Linseed oil.

-Any necessary Truss Rod Adjustments should be made by a trained Luthier, as well as any other adjustments or repairs.

-Strings should be changed every 6 months to a year or whenever you feel is necessary, and tension should be kept on the instrument at all times.

-when changing strings, always bring them up to tension before snipping the excess off.
